The Past

Brandywine's Desert Sun - 1976
Brandy was my introduction to the world of pure bred dogs and dog shows. He was also the reason that I ended up with whippets - No Coat! He was purchased from Stan and Dee Halley, Hounds of Halstan, and they became my mentors in the show ring and life long friends.

Cyrano's Jiminy Cricket - 1978
(Ch. Braemars Fife and Drum x Ch. Bee Jay's Cassandra)
Cricket was my first show whippet and the first dog that I received show points on. After this, I was hooked on whippets. He lived out his life doing what he loved best-lure coursing with his best friend Verniece Ritter.

Ch. Cyrano's Chiaroscuro-1979
(Ch. Plumcreek Chimney Swift x Ch. Dedici Texas Bluebonnet)
Molly was the love of my life and my first Champion whippet. She was a blue brindle and I was told that I could never finish a dilute whippet. She finished at the Chicago Whippet Club specialty with a 5 point major from the open bitch class. This photo was taken at the 1991 AWC National Specialty in St. Louis, MO. Molly was 3rd in the 10-12 Veteran Class.

Ch. Cyrano's Aces High-1981
(Ch. Karamac on Target x Cyrano's Magne-tism)
Ace finished his championship very quickly with several breed wins. The most memorable was BOB all 3 days on the Des Moines, IA circuit. Ace was the sire of my first litter.

Taro's Tattersall Lace - 1984
(Ch. Cyrano's Aces High x Ch. Cyrano's Chiaroscuro)
Chloe is the reason that I love the black brindle coloring and the reason that I now only keep bitches. She was a wonderful bitch, a great mother and was lacking a major when she retired from the show ring. It was a great thrill for me, as a breeder, to show her to Best Opposite in Sweeps along with her brother Taro's Risky Business, who was Best in Sweeps, under Ms Cora Miller of Hound Hill at the Chicago Whippet Club specialty.

Regalia Foxfire - 1987
(Ch. Cyrano's Cadillac Cowboy x Taro's Tattersall Lace)
Elsa was the first whippet to carry my kennel name of Regalia. She has the grand distinction to be born in the backyard into my hands (I thought her mother was done whelping). She won several BOB's and a group placement before she retired from showing lacking only a major to finish. Elsa was a true garbage hound and was always waiting for any leftovers from my son, Jason.

Ch. Rafina Regalia Dealers Choice - 1989
(Ch. Saxon Shore Rafina Qtr Flash x Ch. Saxon Shore Rafina Roulette)
Indy was purchased from Barbara Pendergrass of Rafina Whippets and co-owned by myself and Jacki Popp and lived with Jacki. He finished very quickly and lived the life of a wonderful house dog. He was the sire of only one litter of 2 puppies.

Halstan Regalia Heartstrings - 1990
(Ch. Saxon Shore Rafina Qtr Flash x Ch. Halstan's Patrics Utopia)
Ariel was the second dog to come to us from Stan and Dee Halley. Her mother Penny was a Top Producing bitch and this litter produced 5 champions. Ariel was a littermate to the wonderful Best In Show bitch Ch. Halstan's Angel Face and the multi Group winning bitch Ch. Halstan's Class Act.

Regalia Hearts Affire - 1993
(Ch. Rafina Regalia Dealers Choice x Regalia Foxfire)
Isabelle was the last of my original breeding program and we sadly lost her just this year just short of her 13th birthday. She enjoyed her last years sunning herself on the patio of our Arizona home.
